A word from the Founder - "why I love high-end
personal care products"
"I
love using and treating myself well with them. The problem for me has
always been that I could not use most products because of my sensitive
complexion and allergenic system. I also grew up with severe eczema and
tried many remedies to no avail. And, as my knowledge of how the body
processes ingredients grew and i learned more about what most products
contain, it became impossible for me to knowingly use toxic or
challenging ingredients.
So, I started my skin care company out of my
own needs. I wanted something that didn't exist. Products that were
completely clean and that equalled the sensuality and sophistication i
associated with high-end. It also bothered me that the results from
so-called natural products were substandard. One of my goals became
helping people detox from harsh ingredients and pharmaceuticals as much
as possible and not only have great skin, but also excellent long term
health."

Animal Testing
Suki do not and will not test on animals. Ever. Suki also take it a step
further, making sure our suppliers never test on animals either.
Unfortunately, very often in this industry, things are not as they appear and
companies will claim their product is not tested on animals when in reality,
formulas were tested leading up to the final marketed product.
All a company has to say is that the formula currently on the market is not
tested on animals. They can formulate a product and test it, then change a
couple of drops and put that product on the market as animal testing free. The
EU has banned this practice recently but the U.S. and other areas still allow it
to continue.
If you want to be certain that you are supporting ethical manufacturers, look
for companies that tell you NONE of their products are tested on animals and
that they are against animal testing of any kind. Also look for companies who
are concerned also with the amount of synthetic ingredients they use.
Synthetics, fragrances, preservatives get into the earth, into the
drinking/ground water, they pollute all living things. Cruelty-free, to suki,
does not stop at animal testing issues but also involves the ingredients they
choose to make sure they are biodegradable.
note:
Suki use bee products (beeswax, honey) and ensure all of the bee products come
from ethical sources that do not harm bees in production.
